Does using nasal spray or ear drops break the fast during the day of Ramadan?

Question

Does using nasal spray or ear drops break the fast during the day of Ramadan?

Answer

Nasal spray can break the fast if it reaches the throat, so it is generally discouraged during fasting hours.
Ear drops do not break the fast unless the eardrum is ruptured and the medicine reaches the throat or mouth. If there is no issue with the eardrum, ear drops are permitted.
